This free self-guided scavenger hunt through Downtown Springfield Ohio is fun for all ages – make it a night out with family, a contest with friends, or just a way to spend some time exploring Springfield's urban environment. Clues are hidden throughout two-square blocks. You will find them carved in stone on historic landmarks, painted into beautiful works of public art, and even cast in metal on manhole covers!
The Downtown Design Find booklet will guide you along the route. Look for it in our kiosks at COhatch Market (101 South Fountain Avenue) and Winan’s Chocolate & Coffee (36 North Fountain Avenue), as well as at the Westcott House Museum Store (85 South Greenmount Avenue). You can start and end anywhere along the route. This program is accessible to patrons using wheelchairs and designed for people with all levels of ability. The hunt requires 6-8 blocks of walking, bicycling, or scootering (using the new Bird scooters!). If you go by foot, the complete route is inside Springfield’s DORA Outdoor Refreshment Area, which means that you can take your favorite drink with you on the hunt! Good luck finding all twelve!
