Creative placemaking is a new and fast-growing approach to enhancing community and economic development through arts and culture. Since the term was coined in 2010 in a National Endowment for the Arts white paper, hundreds of communities around the United States have been pursuing creative placemaking strategies to improve quality of life and enhance prosperity.
