Total Solar Eclipse @Westcott

Date:
Monday, April 8, 2024 - 1:30pm to 4:00pm

On April 8, 2024, tens of millions of Americans will share one of the universe’s most spectacular events: a total eclipse of the sun by the moon. While all 50 states will experience a partial eclipse, only the 115-mile-wide path of totality will see the moon completely block the sun.

We invite volunteers and members to join in and celebrate together the spectacle and science of the eclipse in the garden of the Frank Lloyd Wright's Westcott House! We encourage our guests to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and your own picnic! We will also serve snacks and drinks inspired by the Solar Eclipse.

Our staff and volunteers will offer special mini tours, hands-on art and science activities. Solar Eclipse glasses will be provided.

ECLIPSE BEGINS: 1:54PM
TOTAL ECLIPSE OCCURS: 3:10PM
TOTAL DARKNESS TIME: 2 MINUTES 37

This family-friendly event is free and open to our current volunteers and members. If you are need more information about the status of your membership, contact Mustafa, our Advancement Coordinator. If you wish to join please follow this link.
